Offal Stew

Japanese offal stew is commonly known as "Motsunabe" (もつ鍋) in Japan. It is a regional dish originating from Fukuoka, a city on the island of Kyushu. Motsunabe is a type of hot pot dish that features beef or pork offal (organ meats) as the main ingredient. The word "motsu" refers to offal, and "nabe" means hot pot.

Motsunabe is not only delicious but also known for its hearty and warming qualities, making it a popular choice, especially during colder seasons. It has gained popularity beyond Fukuoka and can be found in various regions of Japan, with different variations based on local preferences.

HOPPY

HOPPY is a hop based drink with a very low-alcohol content of 0.8% most enjoyed when mixed with shochu (Japanese distilled liquor) or other select distilled liquor to give consumers the control over flavor and degrees of alcohol.

Hoppy is a non-alcoholic beer-flavored drink that originated in Japan. It was created in the 1940s as a substitute for beer during a time when beer was heavily taxed. Hoppy is typically mixed with shochu, a Japanese distilled spirit, to create a beverage similar to beer but without the alcohol content. It became popular as a budget-friendly alternative, and it's often served in izakayas (Japanese pubs) as a refreshing drink.

Reviews

What they're saying about us

A casual izakaya typical of Katsutadai. Tempura fan is rare. It's really delicious when it's freshly fried. The skewers were also delicious. I don't remember the price, but I was a little disappointed that the big mug wasn't that big. For some reason, the lemon sour was very cheap. Many of the hall staff were young and very accommodating. Actually, I entered the store thinking it was another store. When I looked into it later, it appeared that the store had moved. But it wasn't bad so I'm satisfied.

Every time I passed by before the weekend, it was always full and I couldn't get in. Visited at 18:30 on a weekday. I was lucky enough to get a seat at the counter 😆 The snacks are delicious and reasonably priced😋👍 It's a store where customers can come in😊

Yesterday, I went to a restaurant that opened in the place where Kikufuji used to be. There were three of us sitting at a table, and there were two young women taking orders and serving drinks quickly. I was there for about 2 hours, but by the time I left, I was full of customers. The food was delicious and the price seemed cheap. Lemon sour 190 yen is good.

Customer

It's a homey restaurant, and if you wait in front of the store just before it opens, you'll be greeted by staff who are preparing the food. The lemon sour is priced cheaply, but the rest is expensive for a public bar. The signature tempura on the menu has a crispy coating that looks like it was fried at home. Also, children are wandering around the store. In every sense of the word, it was a homely restaurant that felt like visiting someone's home. I would love to visit you again.
